Snow Kissed is re-introduced by Snips and Snails. This beautiful kit is all white with touches of red. It was designed by the great team of Aimee Harrison, Digilicious Designs and Snips and Snails and is available at lots of stores. (Image is linked to One Story Down.– Oops, store closed)
Here’s my layout titled Frosty Fun featuring William and Patrick and their snowman in our yard in 2010 just after Christmas. That year was the first I ever remember that it actually snowed and stayed on the ground on Christmas Day. This photo was taken on December 26th, 2010.
More to come shortly. Got to go start putting up Christmas decorations and our tree.
I’m not really into baking except for the holidays. I love to fix goodies for family and friends–and me. These photos are from 2011 and are just a few of the things I made–the ones I remembered to take photo’s of. One of my absolute necessities for Christmas is Orange Cranberry Nut Bread. It just says Christmas morning to me! Here’s a scrapbooking layout I did this week and Orange Cranberry Nut Bread is the lower right photo. I wish I had some right now!
This layout was made with a new digital scrapbooking collection called Country Kitchen by Snips and Snails. This collection just begs for recipes, photos of favorite recipes or food, or people eating food. Or the elements go with any country themed page. This collection is available today at The Digichick where Stephanne of Snips and Snails is the guest designer this month.
Check back on Saturday and I’ll have more new things to look at.
It is definately a colorful fall here in Georgia. The colors are at their highest now but leaves are falling so fast that much is already on the ground. This week I have done three scrapbook layouts to share with you.
First is a fabulous collection from Stephanne at Snips and Snails called Autumn Opulence released on November 11th at The Digichick, where Snips and Snails is a guest designer this month. As you can see below, there are lots of bright and rich colors and patterns in this collection.
When I saw the colors in this collection of scrapping goodies, I immediately thought of some photos that Kathryn had taken of Sarah in a dress with those colors . Not knowing the story behind these photos, I thought Sarah, standing at their back door, was wanting to go outside to play ball–probably with her brothers and her dad; and in the others that she was sad because they would not let her play. When I called Kathryn to ask about the photos, she laughed and said no that was not what was happening. See below the real story.
Next is a lovely fall scene taken at the lake at Berry College. You might not see the swan in the photo because he is just a tiny white speck in the water.
The last layout used a kit called Count Your Blessings, also by Snips and Snails, released on November 9th at One Story Down.
I chose a family photo for this page because I consider my children and grandchildren my most precious blessings. Kathryn took this photo last year on Thanksgiving. I had asked everyone to wear a white shirt and jeans for the group photo. Here’s that page.
I will have more to share with you on Monday–November 12th. Hope you have a wonderful weekend!
Well I have been out shopping all day today. I went to Atlanta and spent the day with my daughter-in-law. We went to many different stores, found several things I love and best of all, I bought the new PSE11 at Costco. Can’t wait to get it installed and start playing with the new features!
I have two new scrapbook pages I have made this week to share with all of you today so let’s take a look.
The first features Kathryn and William hugging. I love this photo and I love both of them. I am proud of Kathryn and her accomplishments, I admire her talents in photography, and of course I love her–my first baby. And William is her first baby. I think the photo shows their love for each other, so I titled it Love You. (The #xoxo is hugs and kisses in Twitter language-in case you are not a Twitter fan.)
And here’s the mini kit Inspire Me I used to make this layout. The image is linked to a store where you can buy it.
Next is a photo of Sarah last Halloween checking out the candy at her house before going Trick or Treating in the neighborhood. Her costume was Bat-a-rina, as in a dancing bat.
And the mini kit Sweet Stuff used to make the layout. Image is linked also.
Today I want to show you two layouts I designed using the Eek-A-Boo collection by Snips and Snails Designs and River Rose Designs (image is linked to store). This collection has lots of fun Halloween and fall items. It was fun to work with.
I did two entirely different color themed layouts and I believe I only repeated one item from the collection in the two designs. Can you spot the repeat?
The first scrapbook page is of William in his Darth Maul costume from Star Wars.
The second layout is again of William at a much younger age with photos of his very first Halloween costume. He was such a cute little tiger!
That’s all for today. I am still catching up on things from being on vacation. More this week to come!
Today I have two great new products and several new layouts for you to see. First lets look at a new fall kit called Blustery Day from Aimee at Aimee Harrison Design Studios. Aimee has such as talent for putting together beautiful, high quality scrapbook kits and this one is no exception.
When I saw the name of this kit, I immediately thought of what kids like to do (at least in my childhood) on a windy day–fly a kit. This layout features my grandson William (age 5) doing just that. I was surprised to learn from my daughter that this was done on a day when a hurricane was approaching where they live. Guess that is one way to take your mind off the coming storm!
Next is a new release today called All Hallows Eve from Stephanne at Snips and Snails. This is a traditional Halloween collection featuring lots of elements, patterned paper, solid papers, paint splatter type overlays, and very cute treat bag toppers. Just click on the image below to go to her store and see more layouts made with this collection.
I made two layouts with this collection. The first is of grandson William at age 2 as little Frankenstein. He was so cute he would have never spooked anyone!
Next is a page featuring a photo that Kathryn (Dream Big Photography) took while her family was going around the neighborhood Trick or Treating last year. This neighbor’s yard just looks spooky to me!
All of the photos in these layout were taken by my very talented daughter Kathryn, aka Dream Big Photography. Check out her new blog here.
That’s it for today. I’m off to do some traveling. Be back soon!
Well it’s Friday and reveal day for new kits from two of my favorite designers. First let’s look at Autumn Sunset-a collection of digital scrapbooking supplies by Aimee Harrison Design Studios and Scrappy Cocoa Designs. The collection is available at Digital Scrapbooking Studio. Just click on the image to go there.
My first layout with this kit uses a photo taken at Panama City Beach last October during our annual beach party there with friends. Several of us were out taking photos that night. I shot a series of the sun going down. We were watching for some alleged halo flash the sun does just as it goes down, but none of us saw it that night.
The second layout is of cute little Sarah last November in her favorite pink boots. Kathryn, aka Dream Big Photography, took the fabulous photos.
ANOTHER NEW PRODUCT
New this week also are some Vellum Products from Snips and Snails Designs that are just stunning. They can be found at One Story Down by clicking on the image below to go there. I also used a kit that I love called Afternoon Tea–also at One Story Down.
Now for the layouts I made with these products…
I just absolutely fell in love with this photo the first time I saw it. It is priceless! Again, one of Kathryn’s masterpieces–taken in Sarah’s room with her “reading” to her Rapunzel doll. I just love that expression on Sarah’s face! I was waiting on the right supplies to scrap this photo and these were perfect!
Next is a page featuring me–something I rarely do is to do a scrapbook page about myself. I thought the neutral papers and elements from the kit Neutral LO Essentials would go well with the vellum.
That’s it for today. Next week will be layouts with fall and Halloween kits. Check back again.
Sew Crafty is a new release today from Snips and Snails Designs. This digital scrapbooking kit features lots of fun sewing related items and a great variety of colors.
You can see a couple of different color themes in my layouts below. The first features Rebecca giving me a quilting lesson. I made the “flying geese” quilt border digitally–a lot quicker than actually cutting and sewing.
The layout below shows some of the sewing projects I have done. In the past, I made clothes and toys for my children, sewed for my home, and tried lots of different hand sewing crafts. For many, many years I did counted cross-stitch but now I mostly do scrapbooking, digital scrapping and photography. I still appreciate hand-crafted items!
T.G.I.F. and I can show you the beautiful new digital scrapbooking collection called Vintage Summer and two scrapbook pages I made using this collection. This collection is by three of my most favorite designers, Aimee at Aimee Harrison Design Studios, Stephanne at Snips and Snails Designs and Christine at Digilicious Designs. Here’s the collection. If you cliclk on the image, you can go to one of the stores where you can see it up close.
It can also be found at Digital Scrapbooking Studio store.
And here are two layout I made using this collection. I just love the soft dreamy colors! The first is cute little Sarah on the beach during the recent family vacation in Florida. The second is Kathryn and Michael kissing on the beach. The sky in this photo is a beautiful backdrop for a special picture to remember. Both photos are by Kathryn, a.k.a. Dream Big Photography.
Good Sunday morning whereever you are. This has been a beautiful summer day here in Georgia. Later today we–or should I say my husband Joe– will be cooking ribs on the grill. I thought I would post a layout I did recently called Backyard BBQ, made from a digital scrapbooking kit by the same name from Aimee Harrison and Snips and Snails. Most of these photos were taken at a Labor Day party in the past couple of years. Always fun to have a group of friends for a party!
